Sunday School for Adults Here at Elizabeth River Baptist Church we offer a wide variety of Bible study classes. Our classes are not defined by age but by our passion for following Jesus, our starting point begins each Sunday morning at 9:45 am. All of our adult Sunday school classes study from either “Explore The Bible” or “Bible Studies for Life” curriculum. Both are an in-depth, easy to understand study series built to lead groups through major biblical themes and truths for consistent, ongoing Bible Study.

The teaching approach is different in each class. We invite you to visit our classes to find your learning style.  Adult classes have mixed ages, singles, and couples (unless specified).
Beginning with the Fall quarter 2018, Elizabeth River will be begin a one-year intentional plan for discipleship titled Disciplespath: The Journey will be taught during the Sunday School hour. Disciples Path is a series of resources founded on Jesus’ model of discipleship. It was intentionally created to make disciples who make disciples. Through its design and structure, every session emphasizes four key attributes of the disciple’s path: progressive, relational, disciplined, and replicable.
Disciples Path for Students follows a similar framework as the adult short-term studies, providing an age appropriate intentional plan for discipleship for middle and high school students.

TeamKid: Catching Air is designed as the next step in learning following a new Christian class or for any kid wanting to learn more about Jesus.

Both the Disciples Path for Students and Team Kid: Catching Air were developed to complement the adult Disciple Path short-term studies.

Welcome Class The Welcome Class is offered to those interested in membership at ERBC and for all new members to ERBC.  The teacher is Pastor Richard. This class is offered several times a year and is taught in 6 sessions during the Sunday school hour. The Welcome Class helps you understand what it means to be a new Christian and /or a new church member. You will also learn the purpose and functions of your church.  Another important and uplifting purpose of this class is to understand spiritual gifts and how your gifts may be used to find your place of service in your church.
